Job: Illustrators.  We both have are Bachelor of Design with honours (Illustration Design) at Utrecht School Of Arts, the Netherlands. Pauline also studied Art History at the University of Amsterdam and Anneloes studied Photography at the Utrecht School of Arts, but both transfered to
Illustration Design, which is where we met.

About: Million Dollar Design is an Amsterdam-based design studio, founded by Anneloes van den Bergh en Pauline Teunissen. Together we join forces to create illustrative design. Our work is romantic with a little bit of a rough edge. We mix illustration, photography and fashion to create a dreamy wonderworld with some dark accents. Aside from illustrating and graphic designing for magazines, publishing houses, advertising campaigns etc, we run a webshop with various products, such as laptop skins, customized portraits, t-shirts, prints on canvas and wedding- and birthcards.

Get Inspired by: We get inspired by almost anything. An idea may pop up when you’re at the grocery store, or riding your bike.  Sometimes a quote from a book is great to use as a guidline, or listening to a great song does the trick. We both love traveling, and use the different cultures and nature we see in our work. But also collaborating with other artists can give you great inspiration, to find new materials and ways to work. The internet is great, you can get in touch with loads of other artist and get their opinion of your work (and vice versa) . Usually someone who creates an image that is very different than your own work, like sculpture instead of illustration, can give you the inspiration for your project, and give you the drive you need to create your own image in your own way.
