Work by Valeria Vacca. Based in Italy.
What style do you prefer?
I really like to photograph people and make personal research without focusing on a specific style. I enjoy playing with lights and shadows and I often use mixed media.
How do you get your inspiration?
Mostly from cinema and from American and British TV series.
What kind of tools do you use?
I own an old Canon Eos 40D – that I use with a 50mm lens – and several analog cameras.
What advise can you give to people?
From the movie “Imaginary Heroes”:
Tim : What am I going to do for the rest of my life? All of a sudden it matters.
Penny : Well, Tim, the secret to the success of life is to find something you love. Is there something that you love?
Tim : Yes.
Penny : Good. And you have to do that for the rest of your life. And you’d better hope to hell that you’re good at it, because if you’re not you’ll probably fail.
Tim : How do you know if you’re good at it?
Penny : How do you know if you’re good at it…
Tim : Yes.
Penny : People tell you.
