Name: Bert Teunissen Country: Job: Freelance commercial photographer, Fine art photographer.
Url: http://www.bertteunissenphoto.comhttp://www.bertteunissen.com About:I have been a commercial photographer for the last 25 years (www.bertteunissenphoto.com). Since 1996 I have been working on a personal project called Domestic Landscapes for which I am travelling all over Europe to photograph people living in houses in which the natural daylight is still the main source of light (www.bertteunissen.com). This project has been published by Aperture in 2007 and I am currently shooting in Eastern Europe. The intention is to make an archive in which one can find the differences and similarities between the various European cultures. The travels that I’ve done for this project also have been documented. From every trip I composed a so called Travelog. These Travelogs are very personal interpretations of my state of mind while travelling through the specific countries. The first oe has been published and is called ‘On the Road’. This Travelog focusses entirely on the travelling and is a collection of images from the road ahead of mt taken throught the windshield of my car. The other Travelogs will be published after the project has been finished in 2012. All my life I have been shooting on Polaroid and lately I have been making portraits for W Magazine on this beautiful material. I have never been so enthousiastic about this material since it disappeared from the market. Luckily some people are trying to re-start the SX-70 and 600 Film again in the factory in Enschede. (http://www.the-impossible-project.com/). My selection for this Get Inspired Magazine is therefore this series of Polaroids. Get Inspired by: My inspiration comes from a very wide variaty of art forms, such as photography, film, painting, drawing, music, poetry, literature etc.
