Name: Emily Allison Owl Country: Italy Job: Working as visual artist
URL: http://emilyowl.tumblr.com/ About: I’m a visual artist based in Italy. I’m 33 and I also write poetry. Lately I’ve started to make video too. The universe I create is made of melancholy and darkness, and is touched many times by spirituality, as I can paint demons I also can paint angels. In my photography I try to express my pain and my fears that are just not mine but belong to many people. My photography explores the deep feelings, the mystery, the sad thoughts that live inside everyone. The human body means to me the best tool we have to express and to tell stories. I live from my art, mostly from my painting and I’m also a mother of two wonderful children. Get inspired by: I’m inspired by the mystery of life and death, magic, spirituality and love. I also get inspiration from books, music, poetry and other pure souls who had created art along history. Tools/Techniques: Digital Reflex Canon EOS 400 D, Photoshop, and sometimes analog photography.

Wonderful work. You have represented very well, the fears and anguish we all have in our lives. The use of your own body along with the set props rather intensifies the emotions with a mass appeal. The beautiful use of black and white frames with its textures and undertones work very well to express your thoughts and highlight the theme you represent.
The series leaves me with a beautiful after taste which make me one with the spirit of your frames so much so that I feel myself in there in the frames.
congratulations keep up the good work.
I really like the atmosphere you give to your photos. The grainy films. What kind of film do you use? HP Ilford?
What post-prod technique do you use?
I was very surprised and so amazed by the shot I’ve seen from you. But, I should tell that I was a little disppointed what I knew you did some with a digital camera – sorry, that’s my old silly side..
Go on, that’s great!
thank you!!!
