I am currently working as a Freelance Illustrator / designer and also as Creative Director of this small company Idioma. I always begin working by hand and develop an image in this way before taking it through some digital process. My most recent commission is for a Cafe in Woodbridge and shows a map of all the coffee growing regions in the world, this can be found at www.sethbanks.com. “Seth believes the eye will always seek what is natural in an image, so the hand-made is essential and will greatly accentuate any digital creation.” Get Inspired by: I have a penchant for triangles and other geometric shapes and structures which I fuse with my own perceptions of nature. I get inspired by people, the things they do, the things they wear and the things they say. Language and music often play a big part in my composition of ideas and images but somehow nature has the most strong force in the things I create. About: Peeta is a young Italian artist born in a small town near Venice. He entered the graffiti scene in 1993 and since then, he has been collaborating with some very important crews: the Paduan EAD, the FX crew and the RWK crew, both from NY. After having painted his graffiti all around Europe and America for a very long time, he has started producing also sculptures and canvases and exhibited them all around the world. The elaboration of his personal style comes from the intention of joining together traditional lettering with 3D painting. This experiment has finally resulted in giving life to a unique kind of visual rhythm, created by the intersecting lines between sections of conic, cylindrical and twisting surfaces. Get Inspired by: In general my first source of inspiration, that is to say what at the beginning drove me to take up this career, is represented by my school education. I attended state school of art where I learnt how to create sculptures and subsequently how to transport my knowledge of plastic volumes into paintings and walls. Then, the first crews I met, that is the Paduan graffiti school were really into painting without outlines and so I kept on learning how to reproduce 3D effects. Finally, I took inspiration from the works of two writers I admire: Delta (NL) and Daim (D). My daily source of inspiration is then represented by everything around me, all shapes and objects are interesting from my point of view and I love keeping on observing them and studying light and shadow effects on them. Finally I’ve always been inspired by industrial design and architecture, especially by Zaha Hadid’s projects, an Iraqi female architect that has always shocked me for her uncommon use of shapes and volumes.
