About: This is Man-Tsun, illustrator and graphic designer based in Hong Kong. My splashes of creative passion can be found on theme park designs, movies, MTV, CD covers and illustrations. Now i am tended to spare more time on my personal projects, trying to get more exposure internationally.

Get Inspired by: I read lots of comics, especially the Japanese one and I think I am very much being influenced by Shuo Tashima and Takehiko Inoue, both are Japanese manga artists. Beside comic, if I am suffering on cracking new ideas, I will go swimming. There are so many cool ideas keep flashing in my brain, while I swim. It really helps me out most of the time, so i do think i am a creative man during summer but not in winter.

About: I am a self-taught artist and graphic designer, with roots in street & board culture. I used to attend Medical Academy when my passion for visual arts overfilled me with awareness in my ability to enter the world of illustration, arts & design. It was a hard and long way (and i am still on the run) to work out skills, to learn the basics, to meet the classics, to learn the ways of self-expression, to explore the science and to feel the inspiration. In the 2007 I have started my freelancing as Naoba2Artworks, took part in several big board design projects in Russia, designed numerous album covers, posters, t-shirts and stickers for musicians, kiteboarding companies and different local advertising agencies. Now I am getting deep in magazine art-direction, calligraphy and typography studies, expanding the boundaries of sense and knowledge. I am constantly looking for new challenges and opportunities to enrich my experience, to communicate with people through my designs and art pieces.

Get Inspired by: I get inspired by kite boarding, different music, fascinating typography, nature, cartoon heroes, my friends, skateboard graphics, graffiti, Soviet propaganda & by many other versatile things those surround me everywhere. About: Studied graphic design at both the Grafisch Lyceum and the Willem de Kooning Academie, did internship at ARA/BDDP, Design Republic and Works and knew from the beginning that this is the kind of work I want to do until my eyes get to old to see the difference between a light serif and a black caps. I’ve almost always worked alone, but in the future I wouldn’t mind getting a studio started with some like-minded people.

Get Inspired by: I’ve always been insired by the style of the 1920′s, ’30′s and early ’40′s. Everything was still done manually and therefore designers had to really think before they went into the process of printing or reproducing. Also people then felt that the world was changing in so many ways, that it gave them some sort of freedom to experimentate in both design as well as with art in general. Other main inspiration comes from travelling, I can spend hours in foreign supermarkets just looking at the package designs etc. Next to that, I couldn’t do without my dose of Lastplak. Some days I’m in a suit doing a presentation one moment, and a few hours later, I’m somewhere on a rooftop in the city, wearing old clothes and painting like horse!
