One of my most favorite photographers of this moment, Marta Bevacqua, found some time to answer a few of my questions and showcase 10 a-ma-zing inspiring shots. Usually, I have no trouble picking a favorite shot which I can use as the featured image, but Marta gave me a hard time. Let’s go a little in-depth with Marta and enjoy her amazing work.
Who is Marta Bevacqua?
My name is Marta, I was born and grew up in a country house next to Rome, Italy. I started photography by chance, and never stopped. I went into fashion after some years, and I moved to Paris in 2014. I currently live in Paris, I work mainly in fashion, even if I always work on my artistic personal projects.
Do you call yourself an artist or photographer? And why?
Probably a photographer, since I don’t do pictures just for art (sometimes yes, but not always). Or maybe an artist, I don’t think I can really answer to this thinking about myself.
Favorite Focal length?
50 mm. Because I can really do absolutely everything with it.
A shot you wish you wouldn’t have taken?
There are some. The ones you never saw on my website ahahah.
Who are your biggest examples in your line of work?
Paolo Roversi, Tim Walker, Annie Leibovitz, but also Sonia Szostak, Michal Pudelka and many others.
Any good advice?
The road is endless and very hard, but if you have a dream, never give up!
